Covering: All Protective Security Officers, Sergeants, and EMTs at St. Elizabeth Campus
1. Contract Term Secured
New contract term: March 16, 2025 – September 30, 2027
Benefit: Long-term protection with a 2027 wage reopener
2. Wage Increases
PSO Base Pay Progression:
2023: $34.50 →
2024: $36.50 →
2025: $38.50 →
2026: $41.30 (2027 wage opener secured)
EMT & Clearance Pay expanded
Shift Differential: $1.15 → $1.50 → $1.77
Shotgun Post Premium: $0.25 → $0.45 → $0.52
3. Health & Welfare (H&W) Gains
Rate Increased: From $4.35 → $7.00/hour
Full control returned to the member (cash-in-lieu or benefit use)
No more forced pension redirection for company tax savings
4. Vacation Leave Access & Accrual
New hires may use 40 vacation hours after 6 months (previously 1 year)
Annual vacation accruals increased at each service level
+24 vacation hours added across all seniority tiers
5. Sick Leave Improvements
Sick leave accrual increased to 1 hour per 30 hours worked (from 1 per 37)
6. Guardmount & Gear Down Fully Paid
Guardmount: 30 min/day at full pay = $5,369/year
Gear Down: 15 min/day at base rate = $3,118/year or $4,026.75 w/ OT
Combined: Over $8,400 reclaimed per officer annually
7. True Overtime Protections
Guardmount & Gear Down now count toward 40-hour OT threshold
Overtime rate: $61.95/hour
Previously unrecognized time now fully compensated
8. Pension Contributions Increased
Employer contribution: $1.00 → $1.65/hour
Secure retirement growth for all employees
9. Site/Post Bidding Overhauled
Union now controls implementation of bids
Members may bid by post, shift, or both
Empowers seniority-based fairness and flexibility
10. Annual Earnings Growth

Shift bids, documents, voting, contracts & alerts available 24/7
Quarterly audits reviewed by Executive Board before publication
12. Training, Fitness, and Firearms Pay
Firearm/fitness qualifications now compensated
Company pays for required certifications & licenses
13. Post Assignment & Stability
No more arbitrary removals
Displacement now requires written justification
Creates schedule/post security for members
